The Study
The researchers surveyed data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health. They assessed a number of psychological factors, namely, optimism, self‐esteem, belongingness, feeling loved and wanted, cardiometabolic health, etc.
The Findings
The results revealed that feeling loved as a teen results in positive feelings and good health in adulthood. In fact, nurturing adolescent psychological assets guarantees positive cardiometabolic health (CMH) in later years.
