Watermelon is a rich source of Vitamin B6. No wonder it forms one of the foremost summer fruits for mental health as this vital nutrient aids in the production of brain chemicals responsible for relieving stress, anxiety, and panic attacks.

Dr. Naidoo asserts, “A sure sign that summer is almost here is the appearance of watermelon at picnics, barbecues, and gatherings with family and friends. Watermelon is not only juicy and delicious, but it may also help to reduce anxiety in a couple of ways.”

Watermelon, like other fruits that ease anxiety, contains a significant amount of vitamin C. This vitamin has been linked to anxiety reduction. A 2012 study discovered that patients with generalized anxiety disorder and/or depression exhibited lower levels of vitamins A, C, and E compared to healthy individuals.
